Labor Induction
At one week past my due date, I decided to try acupuncture in order to induce labor. I specifically chose Lisa due to her past experience with women's health and pregnancy. I went in for the treatment on a Friday and walked out extremely relaxed - as if I had just had a massage. By Saturday night, I was in labor and had a healthy baby boy on Sunday morning.

Back Pain & Irritablity
I became a client of Lisa during my pregnancy for back pain and stress. My back pain was so bad I was not able to stand, walk or sit. I have had back issues before pregnancy and was seeing chiropractor/kinesiologist. I have tried Acupuncture for the first time in my life. I was kind of skeptical of acupuncture but my friend has sworn on acupuncture so I decided to give it a try. Lisa was wonderful she explain to me what she be doing and how it will work in the simplest words. I have had 4 treatments.
The first thing I feels was being very relaxed on the inside and pain even it was there was not as intense. My family have said to me that I appear relax and not as irritable "not yelling" as before. Pain is still there as my growing baby, weight and changing body puts pressure on my back, so I have to go back every so often. I like Lisa very much. She has very nice demeanor, honest and easygoing. I going back for more treatment and have signed up my husband to see Lisa as well.

Back and Rib Pain from Pregnancy
Five months into my pregnancy, I started to have stabbing pains in my back -- right under each scapula -- causing me to only find comfort in lying down or standing. Sitting down made me miserable. Later on, it also moved to right under my rib cage. My doctor told me it was bending ribs and "prescribed" a massage. Three massages later, I still had little relief. I tried physical therapy, which ended up giving me cramps, so I had to stop. I tried prenatal yoga and exercising more, but to no avail.
End of June, enter Lisa Bernazani. A friend told me she had been to see Lisa when she was pregnant and suggested I get in touch with her. Lisa clearly knew what she was doing. She asked if I had a short torso over the phone (I do) and then when I went in she continued to diagnose the problems, including that my hips were uneven, my baby tilted, and there just wasn't room for her in my short torso. My first appointment with Lisa made a difference, and each one thereafter continued to be followed with improvement.
I can now sit for long periods at a time, allowing me to do my freelance work as a graphic designer, actually visit with people, and just get things done during the day. This has been such a blessing as I basically got back my two months of productivity before my little one is born. It saddens me I found Lisa so late into my pregnancy, as I think May and June could have been much less uncomfortable and more productive, but I am glad to have such a talented acupuncturist to go to if and when I have need for future pain relief, etc.
Additionally, for first timers, acupuncture can be a little overwhelming -- "you are going to stick needles in me?!" -- but Lisa made it nothing but comfortable and my apprehension disappeared as soon as I met her. Thank you so much, Lisa.

Third Trimester Chronic Issues
This was my first experience with acupuncture, and I’m so glad it was with Lisa – she’s wonderful. I came to her with a whole host of issues during my third trimester of pregnancy, including a chronic cough, exhaustion and low energy, a depleted immune system, and several separated ribs. I was definitely needing some relief – both physically and emotionally.
Although acupuncture doesn’t provide miracles overnight (although it can provide immediate symptomatic relief), her treatments helped tremendously. I’m now in a much stronger and healthier place and looking forward to the birth of my second child in just a few weeks. I should add that in addition to having an expertise in acupuncture during pregnancy, Lisa also was able to safely prescribe Chinese herbs for me that made a world of difference in my energy level.
All in all, I’m so glad that I found her, and when you look at the various things you could pay for in life (just think of all that baby gear!), this was money very well spent. I would recommend Lisa in a heartbeat, and I will certainly look to her and to acupuncture for future health issues.

Elimination of morning sickness
I visited Lisa when I was at the end of my first trimester of pregnancy and was still feeling very nausated all the time. I was desperate for relief. By the end of my third (of four) visits, my nausea was almost completely gone. Lisa also helped me resolve problems with persistent back pain and ligament soreness due to the pregnancy. I would highly recommend Lisa to anyone experiencing some of the more negative affects of pregnancy.

Great pre-natal acupuncture!
I have seen 7 different acupuncturists in the last 11 years and Lisa is by far the most intuitive, thoughtful, detail-oriented practioner I have had. She treated me occasionally for 2 years for general well-being and then when I got pregnant I started seeing her weekly. My first trimester was incredibly difficult, I had issues with my adrenal glands and hyper-emesis, which Lisa promptly treated. After only 2 sessions my symptoms were mostly diminished. During my second and third trimesters she continued to treat me to boost my energy level, for mood issues and for recurring nausea. I saw her every week of my nine month pregnancy and am now the mom of a happy, incredibly well-adjusted baby boy. I absolutely recommend Lisa for anyone-pregnant or not!

She Induced Labor!
I was late w/ my second child and saw Lisa to try to induce labor. While I was on the treatment table I could feel the baby dropping. I went home relaxed and feeling like it had made a difference. 7 hours later I went into labor. It was amazing. She was great about fitting me in, as I was feeling someone anxious to get started. I highly recommend her, and will be sure to see her as new needs arise.

Several years back I suffered from sciatic pain and went to Lisa for treatment. I was so pleased that she was able to stop the pain and as a bonus she also cured me of my allergies for about 3 years after completing treatments.
So during my pregnancy when I began experiencing hip pain due to side sleeping, and rhinitis, I immediately thought "I need to see Lisa again". I began seeing Lisa during my 26th week, twice weekly and almost immediately had results. Soon I no longer had to take allergy medicine and sleeping on my side became more tolerable.
Then at 32 weeks I began to experience extreme dryness in my mouth. My lips were burning, my gums were peeling and I had canker sores on my tongue and cheeks. I went to my doctor, my dentist, a homeopath, and my midwife and unfortunately none had ever heard of this condition and had no answers for me. Lisa began working on me for heat in my heart and by week 36 my condition was about 85 percent better.
Lastly at 36 weeks Lisa began to prepare me for labor. I'm not sure exactly what the treatment entailed, however I did give birth to Emma on her due date (only 5 percent of women actually give birth on their due date) and I labored for 8 hours, almost unheard of for a first time pregnancy. I can't recommend more strongly the use of acupuncture during pregnancy. It's non-invasive, the treatments are relaxing, and it really works.
I also want to include an experience a friend of mine had with acupuncture and pregnancy. She lives in New York and her and her husband had been trying to conceive for 3 years with no luck. She finally went to see an acupuncturist who worked on her for spleen, liver, and kidney imbalance and I am pleased to say that she is now pregnant with twins.

I initially sought treatment from Lisa Bernazani at Middle Path Acupuncture for pregnancy-related back pain. I was pleased to receive immediate and continuing relief from this pain, which was a surprise to me given that I had experienced chronic sciatic nerve pain for over thirteen years.
During my third trimester of pregnancy, I became very ill with a virus and Lisa's treatments and nutritional guidance allowed me to gain the strength and balance I needed to fight the virus and regain the weight I had lost. Her empathy and expertise provided me with hope and confidence I needed during one of the most challenging times of my life.
I highly recommend Middle Path Acupuncture for the treatment of both chronic health problems and for acute illnesses or injuries. I am confident that you will find resolution to such issues, even if the conditions have previously been unresponsive to treatments. Middle Path Acupuncture works with you to determine the cause of your ailments, rather than simply treating the symptoms. I couldn't be more pleased with the care I have received at Middle Path Acupunture.

I began seeing Lisa early on in my pregnancy for general wellness as well as treatment for chronic neck pain and severe headaches which I had suffered from for several years even prior to pregnancy.
The style of acupuncture that Lisa practices along with her understanding of the body both physically and energetically enabled my body to heal in a way that I had never experienced before. Not only did I rarely have a headache, but I felt balanced and strong throughout my entire pregnancy.
I also recovered very quickly after the birth of my son and attribute this to my work with Lisa. Her work is some of the most effective I have ever experienced.

I am writing this letter to you as a recommendation for your services. Please feel free to share it with your potential clients that may be considering your treatment.
My pregnancy was a time of joy. From the very beginning I decided to take the very best care of myself and my baby. I avoided alcohol, ate only healthy foods, exercised daily and didn't take so much as an antacid the entire nine months! When my due date came and went my doctor began discussing the possibility of inducing labor. I was mortified! After nine months of self-care I was not going to assault my baby with labor-inducing drugs if I had an alternative. Thankfully, I had Lisa.
Lisa explained to me that acupuncture treatment may take up to three visits to induce labor. My second visit to Lisa was scheduled for a Friday. My doctor had given me only until Monday morning to go into labor naturally. Within hours of my second visit with Lisa, my water broke and my husband and I were off to the hospital. My son came into the world nine days past my due date, but less than 10 hours after my visit with Lisa!
Lisa is a caring and gentle provider. I would recommend her to anyone that may have a late arriving baby.
