Learn to Adapt to Change (Use it to Enhance Your Fertility)
By Lisa Bernazani, M.Ac., Lic.Ac.

Change is constant, it happens every moment of every day, everywhere. Change is necessary for the transformation, renewal and development of everything. Even if we feel we're not changing, everything around us is, and we will also need to change in order to successfully adapt, develop, transform and renew ourselves to fit our new circumstances. Many of the conditions associated with modern people teach us that many of us have not learned how to steadily change our ways in order to adapt properly to our rapidly changing, modern environment.

We must learn to change ourselves, but not lose ourselves in the process. Human beings have much more power than many of us know or utilize. To realize our fullest potential we first need to create a steady, balanced foundation from which we can grow. The winter season is a great time to lay the foundation for the rest of the year. We all know that it's much easier to adapt when we're feeling well, our schedules are manageable, and we have plenty of energy. No two people are alike and what works well for one person may work only partially for another, or not at all, therefore, it's up to each one of us to learn how to do this in order to be well and function optimally. Optimal health allows us all to more easily create what we want to be happy.

So what does all this have to do with fertility? For many people, change is stressful and we live in a society where change is rapid. Stress has a definite effect on our nervous system and our nervous system controls our endocrine system. This system is responsible for hormonal regulation-the system that is associated with fertility. For women this understanding is especially important. If you'd like to learn more, read the article to the left about FSH levels and fertility.
